CRU’s vital gospel ministry relies on the support of over 1,000 volunteers each year. At CRU we bring together volunteers of all ages and stages of life for the sake of the gospel, enabling over 2,500 Australian children to be reached each week with the good news of Jesus. If you have an active Christian faith, are at least 15 years of age and are keen to help children grow in their knowledge and love of God, then we’d love to hear from you.

One way you can support the work of CRU is by volunteering at one of our many CRU Holiday Camps held each year. Becoming a CRU Camp volunteer will help you develop and grow your ministry skills. You’ll also have heaps of fun and have the opportunity to form life-long friendships. From junior/assistant leaders (15-18 years) or camp parents to cooks, bus drivers or mechanics, we offer volunteering opportunities covering a range of different gifts and skills.

What’s it like to be a volunteer on a CRU Holiday Camp? Watch here as Andrew Errington explains the joy of volunteering.

Apart from serving on a camp, CRU volunteers are also engaged in a wide variety of other activities including:

  • Using your professional and technical skills to support CRU projects (eg. lawyers are needed to help write wills for supporters at the CRU Wills Day)

  • Campsite maintenance (eg. helping with sailboat maintenance or lawn mowing)

  • Office and administrative duties in CRU’s Eastwood head office (eg. helping with invitation mailouts)

CRU does something in the world that’s actually going to impact the eternal lives of people. If i had to stop some of my volunteer work I wouldn’t stop volunteering at CRU.
